The branded prescription medication Indocin made from the generic
drug Indomethacin is no different from any other allopathic
medicines. In fact side effects cannot be predicted. This medicine
too may cause certain side effects. The most commonly reported and
noticed side effects of Indocin or Indomethacin may be such as:
abdominal pain, constipation, depression, diarrhoea, lightheadedness
or dizziness, fatigue or weakness, headache, heart burn,
indigestion, nausea, vomiting, ringing sensations in the ears,
sleeplessness or excessive drowsiness, intermittent pain in the
stomach, upset stomach, and vertigo condition.

raise in the blood sugar, insomnia or sleep trouble, kidney failure,
trouble breathing or wooziness, loss of appetite, mental disorder,
muscle weakness, bleeding nose, peptic ulcer, problems in hearing,
rash, rectal bleeding, Stevens-Johnson syndrome better known as skin
peeling, stomach or intestinal bleeding, excessive sweating,
shivering or trembling, unusual redness of skin, vaginal bleeding,
weight gain, worsening of epilepsy condition, yellow eyes and skin.
Some other unexpected symptoms may also be noticed in rare case
wherein the patient should immediately consult his doctor for
necessary medical assistance to avoid further complications and for
continuity of Indocin or Indomethacin therapy.
